Municipal Authority of the City of New Kensington Water Distribution and Treatment Facility

This project involved the complete analysis of the system’s water treatment facilities including intake, pumping and treatment facilities; along with the clear water reservoir system involving approximately 15 million gallons of potable water storage. The $14 million project resulted in a significant reduction in unaccounted for water loss, and the addition of fire protection and storage on the system. Gibson-Thomas prepared and submitted funding applications on behalf of the Authority, and designed and managed the project to completion.
