Municipal Authority of Westmoreland County Sony to Brusters 48″ Waterline
The Sony to Brusters waterline project installed 7,450 LF of 48″ ductile iron waterline from the Sony Plant in Hempfield Township to Brusters Ice Cream at the intersection of South Center Avenue and Paintersville Road in New Stanton Borough, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. The project replaced the 20″ existing water line that was originally installed during the 1930’s. The new waterline will be connected to the existing 48″ projects that were installed in 2007/2008 as part of MAWC’s on-going system improvements. The increased pipe size will hold approximately 700,300 gallons of water.
